I bought a new Toshiba Satellite from BestBuy in November.By Christmas, the product was falling apart! The power cord was ripping and the power adaptor had disappeared into the machine. Calling 1800TOSHIBA, I spoke to a man named Ian who advised me that a box would show up at my house VIA UPS and that I would place the machine in the box and ship it back to Toshiba free of charge.
After waiting nearly a week, I called and spoke to someone named Gideon who informed me that I should have been told to take the machine to the UPS store to ship back.
The item shipped from Tulsa, Oklahoma on 1/03/09, the item is currently in route via UPS less than a week later! I am very impressed with the quickness with which they handled the situation. My only complaint is why sell something in an area that doesn't provide service?
