I have 2 kids from Nicholas Durham A boy who is 6 and a girl who is 4 he ended up getting locked up over and over again And I decided to move on (Not a lifestyle I wanted to live for my kids) I ended up re-marrying Then he got out he started paying child support and then stopped and told me he wanted to sign his rights over because he didnt want to deal with me and pay child support. This is a guy who I would have to call to just see if he can see his kids the kind of guy who is in and out all the time and had excuses left and right why he couldnt see his kids down to his mom doesnt want them there to he doesnt have a car. I even offered one of my cars to him. My daughter didnt really know him she was born before he got out of prison so she knew the man i married as her dad which i think is a good thing well finally after repeatedly fighting with him he said he was gonna go down and file because he was over 20,000 behind in child support and he was tired of paying and he finally went down and did it. At a point I am happy he did it because they dont need the in and out and they have a good dad who is there for them at all times But then its How can you treat your kids that way and say Im not gonna pay for them or put up with you and give your own kids up I dont understand it. To make things short he pretty much thinks he got away from his responsibilities or whatever because My husband went ahead and adopted them. If Im not mistaken doesnt he still have to pay all the back child support back or does that go away when they are adopted?
