We were overcharged on our escrow wich lead to a $5oo a month raise in our mortgage payments that we could not afford. Shortly after we had to fight to keep our heads above water to make the payments.
As of August we just could not do it any more, after several attempts to discuss the issue at hand with ERA we were repeatedly hung up on. We asked about loan modification but were disappointed to see their only option was to lower the payment now and raise it again later to cover the few months of lower payments.
We also had an incident with a late payment. A payment was recieved 3 days late but it did not include the late fee so our payment went into a seperate account. When we sent in the next payment with the late fee they accepted the next months payment but credited the late fee to the principle balance instead of the held payment so we were now behind a month and were charged more late fees. This happened again a few months later.
