California State Bar Corruption & Incompetence Is At An All Time High

The CA State Bar Announces TODAY That They're Going to START Monitoring Loan Mod Lawyer Advertising 5 months AFTER Bad Biz Finder Alerted Them to This Travesty

The State Bar of California is sending out letters to their attorney members reminding them of their responsibilities under Professional Code of Conduct Rule 1-400 pertaining to advertising and solicitation and letting them know that the State Bar is going to start monitoring their activities. Do you really think a letter is going to stop these criminal attorneys? What about Rule 1-320 about sharing legal fees with non-attorneys? This is a much bigger issue.

News Flash for cowards Scott Drexel and Holly Fujie:

Monitoring is not the same as shutting down.

Monitoring is just another bogus delay tactic.

Monitoring won't help consumers.

Monitoring won't stop the loan mod scams perpetrated by your attorney members.

This whole attorney loophole issue that we have been so vocal about since January, is a direct re-enactment of Katrina's FEMA tragedy, folks. But instead of 5 days, it's 5 months. It's just a shame because, similar to the deaths that occurred as a result of federal government incompetence, so are the financial deaths of California consumers because of incompetent, lying, cheating and corrupt leaders of the California State Bar.

And they're still not willing to take responsibility for their inaction and their membership's part in this debacle. Victoria Molley, working alongside Drexel, states:

A major concern of the bar is if lawyers are being used as straw men' by loan consultants who want to involve a lawyer in the process because lawyers, unlike loan consultants, may charge fees in advance of doing the work.'

Ya, think???

Wow, Victoria, what a novel concept, wherever did you get that idea?

AND THEN, Drexel adds his two cents and can't really understand why a lawyer would even want to do this gig, anyway. He states, It's not that lucrative for them unless there's money upfront.

AND THEN, to make matters worse, Drexel admits his awareness of the issue but won't take any action:

Consumers are under very difficult circumstances facing the prospect of very quickly losing their homes, so they're desperate to do something, and it makes them more susceptible to fraud there is a need to act as quickly as possible because the consumers who go to these people are on the verge of losing important rights.

There's that these people clause again. Don't you mean these attorneys? Don't you mean these attorney members of the California State Bar?

Don't you know that the first step in resolving a problem; is admitting that you have one?

This is by far, our favorite part. Scott Drexel pretends to give a warning to consumers but really gives a heads up to his attorney members to remove this statement from their advertising and solicitation:

Drexel recommended that consumers use caution in hiring anyone and to beware when a loan modification ad ends with the declaration,

Licensed by the State Bar.'

We've reviewed hundreds and hundreds of websites, ads, TV and radio commercials, blogs, and so on, and have never once seen that phrase and we're now guaranteed to never see it moving forward. Because every scam attorney is going to make sure that that phrase is removed by Monday.

What is it going to take for you to take action?

At the very end of the article it says

There is evidence that foreclosure consultants may be attempting to avoid the statutory prohibition on collecting a fee before any services have been rendered by having a lawyer work with them in foreclosure consultations.

This is a travesty and we are going to kick it up a notch starting right now.

Final Note to Diane Curtis, author of this article: Don't you feel like a jerk reporting this stale and fraudulent news day after day? What's going to happen to your career as a PR person when your gig with the State Bar is kaput?
