To Whom It May Concern:
Three years ago I spent two and a half years having work done by an individual named Phidias Cinaglia. Mr. Cinaglia and his operations, d/b/a (www.phidplates.com, www.phidias.com, Living Adventures, etc.) are deceptive and misleading and, at the very least, border on the criminal.
Allow me to explain: I have been a paraplegic for 28 years. Three years ago, due to degenerative ailments associated with my paralysis, I decided to purchase a new customized van with a wheelchair lift (my first). Since the van needed certain custom modifications to meet my handicapped needs it was recommended that I contact Mr. Cinaglia to complete these upgrades.
Mr. Cinaglia talked a good show and promised on near a dozen occasions that my van would be finished and delivered to me in Florida by a certain date. I have over 500 emails that corroborate any and all of my assertions. Mr. Cinaglia has a repertoire of excuses for not completing my project.
Two and a half years had passed and Mr. Cinaglia had not delivered on any of his promises to deliver the van to me completed. I was forced to travel to Salt Lake City, Utah and take possession of my uncompleted van. I found it in a horrible state of disrepair and cosmetically damaged. The quality of the work he did perform falls so short of professional that it is laughable. It will continue to cost me time and money to undo the damage he has done.
Mr. Cinaglia is a fraud, a con, a liar, and a charlatan. I would urge anyone who should be unlucky enough to hear his name to steer clear or, better yet, run! If he has no scruples about mistreating and cheating a disabled person, he will certainly not think twice about acting unethically, immorally and/or criminally with the public at large. It is my contention that this individual suffers from a malady of mental conditions that allow him to justify his mistreatment of me and anyone else that he can entice into his web in order to defraud.
I was conned by Mr. Cinaglia for tens of thousands of dollars, and time that I will never recover. I regret the day I ever heard his name and hope that this correspondence reaches anyone else before they become a victim of this person. I will be filing complaints with the Utah State Attorney Generals Office, department of consumer affairs and the Better Business Bureau in order to protect as much of the public as possible.
I am, through innumerable emails, unintentionally linked to his CTIS (Central Tire Inflation System) concept. If I discover that he is marketing, selling and/or installing this system I have been advised by my legal council to sue in order to prevent any liability to myself.
