Using Credits that don't Belong to Them

While the class action lawsuit filed against Hollywood Paws may have been dismissed, some of their business practices still remain questionable. It appears that they have had nothing to do with some of the credits listed on their website.

In our case, they actually went a step beyond. As the owner of a professional animal training company I was tipped off that Hollywood Paws was claiming credit for having trained the dog in the movie "I Am Legend". They had created a marketing video that looked like an interview leading the watcher to assume they did the movie.

Nothing could be further from the truth. Hollywood Paws had absolutely nothing to do with training any dogs in connection with that movie (except maybe in their wildest dreams). Steve Berens, of Steve Berens' Animals of Distinction, Inc. Trained the dogs in "I Am Legend" along with the help of another good trainer.

Once Warner Bros. Was alerted they immediately made them remove the video from their website and from where they posted it on youtube. While this video just suggested that they did the movie, they actually still have it posted on one of their other marketing videos that the dogs from "I Am Legend" were trained by the trainers at Hollywood Paws.

Now why would a company take credit for work they didn't do? Is it dishonest? You be the judge. My final words to anyone considering paying this company a large sum of money because they think they are qualified to fulfill their dreams - Buyer Beware! Where there is smoke there is fire.
