We went in for a haircut on Tuesday, April 21 about 1:00 P.M. We had visited this barbershop previously in the fall of and had an OK experience (our son has sensory issues and doesn't like haircuts, but he managed the last time somehow, with my help and soothing). Same thing happened this time, but Jung, the owner/haircutter, was obviously angry and impatient; her body language showed that she did not want him as a client, and was sighing and waiting for it to be over. Although there is a large banner for all to see that haircuts are only $6.99, she charged me $11.00 because he was "difficult". Absolutely no sensitivity or kindness towards him at all, and no acknowledgement was made towards the efforts that I was trying to make to help. She yelled at him several times, which only traumatized him further instead of calming him down, because he was scared and put his hands up - and again, I want to empathize that I was doing everything I could to soothe him and calm him down, yet it was NOT HER PLACE to be yelling at him. She then told me I was a horrible parent and never to come back to her business. Well, that's OK, I have no problem taking my business elsewhere, but I think I need to do everyone a favor and let them know what a horrible, rude, unprofessional, and unethical business that this *ch is running, and I don't think that she helped her image to the other customers waiting for service. Don't waste your money - you get what you pay for. Your hard-earned dollars are better spent elsewhere. We have had haircuts elsewhere where the cutter was able to be kind and compassionate even though our son was so upset, so we will definitely head elsewhere in the future.
