I was approached by a young man one night shortly after entering my apartment. He claimed to be raising money with his broadcasting class at a local college to go on a trip in Europe. Very convincing. He had a picture of his so-called class and a complete story on the back of it.
When I hesitated on purchasing he was very quick to "flirt" and say that I could pay him with a beer or two or free food. He even went so far as to say that his grandmother lived in the complex and would bring cookies if I wanted them.
I purchased this subscription in October and have not received my $46 magazine. I contacted the actual magazine I subscribed too and that is how I found out that they had no record of my subscription. Thus I commenced my search on the internet and found this site.
I will now be contacting my attorney general's office to make sure that this does not happen again. I wish there were some media attention on this company so that I would have known beforehand about these scam artists.
