My Akai LCT32Z5TAP, still under warranty, stopped working. On Dec. 4, I spoke to Darrell (#1178) at Akai, who told me to fax a copy of my receipt, along with the serial # to Akai at 800-445-7991, and to call a few days afterward to receive an authorization # so that my TV could be repaired. A return call to Akai produced no call history, no fax, no authorization #, no one who had ever heard of Darrell #1178, me, my TV, or a fax.
