Don't become a victim of this slick travel club. Told that it was only going to be a 90 minute group presentation. NO high pressure just evaluate a new vacation program. Sure...
Professional looking sales people, beautiful furniture. Everyone very helpful and friendly. Next you are called by name and greeted by a sales agent asking all kinds of questions hoping to establish a quick friendship. Everyone is seated around tables and there is a screen so you think of good a film. Not. The agent continues to ask questions and ask about our vacation habits and family. There's music playing in the background so it is hard to hear. Then we are told that a speaker is coming in to go over the travel program and it was time to go to the bathroom or get a refill of coffee before it speakers begins. So the agents leave and the speaker begins with asking questions about the different couples and try to make everyone laugh.
There is display boards with trips written and prices.
Lights out and the speaker begins. They talk about cruises, hotels, airfare and want to know where everyone's dream trip is. There is a slide show. Then ask how many own Timeshare and how many like their timeshare. The speaker points out all of the restrictions with timeshare. The Home Owners fee, the exchange fees.By the time the speaker finishes the owner feels stupid for making such an expensive vacation plan. The speaker talks about all of the condo's available with their plan. No maintenance fee, no exchange fee. It's a flat rate for a one bedroom-2bedroom or-3 bedroom condo. You just pay a use fee. Not the high purchase price and then you are stuck with a condo that you have to pay on whether you use it or not. After the speaker is done.
The music is turned up loud. All the agents return and ask the couples. How did you like the program.? Where would you go first? The agent is waiting for the guest to ask a question. So they can bring a mgr or closer to the table at which time the agent leaves so the closer can begin their task of figuring out how much money the couple is willing to pay for the membership. The speaker has shown the price as $7995. Today only. Buy today or buy later but you won't get all the additional benefits. Just say "NO" to every price. Because, if you purchase you will be sorry. Because they say you have a 3 day cancellation period. But if you use the gift they gave you or encourage you to buy discount tickets from their marketing company "Yes, To Branson". You have used their program and the company will not return your money or honor your cancellation letter.
When speaking to other people at the hotel. The same program is sold at whatever price the closer can get the customer to buy as low as $1500. Some of the prices for travel are higher than just getting on the internet and researching. My advice is say, "NO" keep your money and go to a website such as "Apple Vacations"., Vacations to Go, if you want a cruise.
Just google economy cruises and you will find the same deals available or even cheaper than what the travel club offers. Whatever, you do not accept a trade in on your timeshare. The company will take it and resell it. So buyers beware. Enjoy the shows but don't waste your time or money going to this place for what you think is just a travel seminar. You will lose your money and maybe even your timeshare if you have one.
