Lindsay (sp?) McAllister lived with my neighbor Bill Workmiester at my condo facility on Post Oak Blvd in 2007. Lindsay had a drug problem and was a dancer and Bill tried to help her as he had done for so many other people and many of us.
During this time, there was a number of unaccounted thefts at the property, Lindsay crashed Bill's car through our parking gate on purpose, she ran through hallways naked and screaming, and caused all other kinds of issues at our complex. There are numerous reports filed with the facility HOA. Also, a petition was circulated to get her removed from the building in late 2007.
Neither Bill nor our facility has been paid a penny back of the damages caused. Poor Bill had a lien place against his condo and couldn't even sell his unit until paying off the gate damage. Further, no one from our condo was even heard at the arraignment hearing. Why?
Well apparently, Lindsay's mother was a leader in Mercy Street Church and her Dad runs a rehab associated with the church. Mercy Street is also "helps" the county's drug court. The Pastor of this Mercy Street Church, Matt Russell, stormed the courtroom, prevented letters from Bill from being passed to prosecutors, and was seen speaking with court staff according to Bill and the "rumors." To date, this girl has not paid a penny to Bill, our condo, or other victims. She has not done a day in jail! I love Bill's posting to the court forum and am also waiting for the Mercy Street victim's fund.
After using Bill to support the case Lindsey shouldn't go to jail, these people threw him to the side and blamed him! An order prevents her from speaking to him - or more likely was put in place to hide her from everyone she owes money to. I wonder if they made up negative things against him and the girl did to try to justify herself.
Bill treated that girl like a queen. When she crashed the car, he defended her to the HOA. When the petition was circulated, he continued to defend her. He paid for her rehab and drove her there. He even threatened her drug dealers. Bill is a hero. To this date, I have never heard him say an ill word about her, only the mother and this church.
Bill is great person. He supports a number of non profits in town and took several people into his property, including Udochi and Baron, one of the old doormen, when they were in trouble. This is a flat out joke!
The lowest form of people are hypocrits. The daughter of their leadership victimized our condo for months, they did nothing to help her while we did, and then they take no reponsibility and blame others. The religious ones are always the worst! True charity happens in the streets, not from the pulpit! True Christians are Christians in good times and bad. They don't run to God and a church only in the bad times... When they have drug habits or issues.
Several residents have been contacted by the media recently and I am glad this story is going public. This story needs to be exposed. Bill has asked us to stand up behind him and we all gladly do. Lindsay and Mercy Street need to learn to take responsibility for their actions and not take the easy way out by blaming others. The priest is being investigated by the State and I hope he is brought to justice for trying to influence a court.
