This is true & i AM telling it just like it happened. 3/16/09 wife & I bought 1405.85$ in make-up we paid for it in cash because i know what those sharp walmart employees would think. Stolen debit or credit card or check so we paid in cash. The cashier never ask why we bought so much makeup or call the manger to ask his or her permission to sell it to us they didn't even mind putting or cash in walmarts cash register. On 3/22 Sunday we deiced to return the merchandise there was 94 items sold, at the door they counted and tagged each item (we have the receipt) that's fine no problem my wife & daughter went to the customer service. Myself & two sons 11 & 9 yr old the 9 yo in wheel chair (not dealing the feel sorry card) just telling it like it is. We went in the back of store to buy house paint.
Wife called me on a cell phone and said to come to customer service they were saying the receipt was a forgery so i went there & they had all gone in the little office behind the counter they told one male to stay and keep an eye on her (my wife) i was getting paint mixed so i figured they would get it straight because i know the receipt is real. So i told my wife in front of the guy they told to keep an eye on my wife to keep an eye on them. (no cussing or loud voices by any of us the whole time) i went back to the paint where 2 sons were. About 15 minutes later my wife calls again said they called the police. There were 2 city cops of covington VA police. They had the cashier there that had sold us the makeup. She was telling the walmart police that yes she sold it to us & when we left the store they checked the money & it was real. The police were playing good cop bad cop any way the bad cop checked my wife's ID it was clean the good cop checked mine it was clean the bad cop in a loud voice said to me where are your kids i said with my 17 yo daughter. He said get them here. So i did.
The bad cop wanted to know why we had bought 1400$ worth of makeup? By this time i was tired of there 3rd degree so i told him because it seamed like the thing to do at the time. He didn't like that. The good cop told me walmart had some trailers broken into (so that means we did it?) the 9yo in the wheelchair held the pry bar. The bad cop went back to work on my wife with questions like what roads do you take to go home I64 that was in front of walmart or 81 that's about 6o miles from the store? My kids had the mixed paint in a basket i should have left it. I gave my daughter a debit card to pay for it, then i told them to go to the car. They had the walk of shame in front of all the walmart shoppers they must have done it because walmart had there police department on us in the center of the store that's to warn the walmart shoppers what they could do to them with the walmart police department.
They accused all of us of breaking into a semi, counter fitting money, forgery, the good cop told me walmart would give us our money back and left. Walmart police had done there best for there boss not the tax payers of covington VA the manager that was there on Sunday could only speak very bad broken English said no our no our even though there cashier said she sold it to us by this time it was quitting time they tied up the bags gave us the receipt and told us to come back some other time when the store manger is there. So now my wife and i got to do the walk of shame in front of the walmart shoppers that had been watching the show for about 3 hours i called 1800walmart told them the story said district manger would call next day 3/23/09 Monday no call by noon so i called i800walmart again this time they said it could take 5-7 business days for his highness to call me so on 3/23/09 Monday i called the covington VA store 540-962-6679 ask for the store manger she said she was i ask why is it a male name on the receipt Steve condia she said he didn't work there anymore i don't believe her why would his name still be on a receipt that new? Anyway she said i have to watch the store video ill call you back after about 3 hours
I called her she said i saw you in the video (like i had done something wrong) she said she wouldn't promise me any thing to bring it back she would look at it so after all this how do i know walmart police might dream up something to put us in jail the shame they put us & our kids through branding us a family of thieves with all in that town that was in walmart that day SO WHAT WOULD YOU DO???
