I was wondering if I was the only one thatrealized that walmarts electronics are both used and some are reconditioned perhaps. I recently read an article from the woman in georgia wow it is exactly the same thing that happened to me.
I went to the knoxville iowa store and selected the computer that i wanted to purchase and did purchase after the clerk that was working said it was their best, fastest computer with the largest memory. I too got it home opened it up started to do set up and it shut down and would not come back on. I went to take it back the following day and she at first acted like I had stolen this computer an called the manager. Needless to say this is where it started to get ugly as I had the receipt and the duplicate of the check I wrote to purchase it with. They were still unwilling to accept the return they said do to the fact that I had purchased an extended warranty. Therefore i had no choice but to send this previously used computer that i purchased 1 day before in for repairs. It took a total of 1 month before the computer was returned.
The problem was a bad hard drive and a couple of other issues so i asked was this a used computer and was told most definetly by the repair department. So I ask hey walmart i did not pay for a used computer i paid full price for what was suppose to be a brand new computer so is this common practice in all your stores? I also purchased a garmin nuivi there which was also defective, yet another return put back on shelf and resold, and get this what about the tv that when opened had a used baby bed in place of the tv. You didnt even open the box to make sure when it was returned that there was a tv in it. You people are an embarassment. I think its time we people were compensated for your lazy incompetent employees. Get with it walmart or get out of it!
