A couple or 3 months ago a suspicious charge was noticed in my bank account made by a company named DRI. Element5. I did not recall purchasing anything from such company so I notified my bank and a dispute was open, the bank refunded me the charge of 29.95 and I never heard from that company again, I guess for good. Wrong!!!
This morning I'm checking my bank account online and there is another pending debit from the same company, again for 29.95. This time my bank account was low in funds and if this transaction clear, my account will occur on overdraft charges.
So here I am in a Saturday morning, worrying the whole weekend and Monday, to find on Tuesday morning if those charges clear. I have till to find with my bank on Monday if this charge is going through my debit card or not, if is via my debit card, I'll need to ask the bank to replace the card, wait about 10 days to receive the new one and notify all the companies as utilities, mobile phone, etc of the change on the debit card so they can actualize their records and commence the debits via the new debit card. What a pain! I'll have to be about ten days relying to cash in hand to make necessary purchases as groceries and the like, and still pray to receive the new card before the 8th of next month, when my first automatic debit to my account is applied.
I Google the company and found a lot of complaints about such scam, one cited a 1-800 number for that company, but nobody answer. Now I have another worry in my life, to check my bank account online daily!!!
