I am needing some help. I received a summons today from a process server and am now stressed and confused to what I need to do. This is my story: I opened an account with CitiBank about ten years ago, last transaction was about 8 years ago and total amounted to $1700. I paid monthly payments till about a year ago when I became ill stricken and lost my job. They pretty much got their money's worth from several years of making monthly payments. Anyway, I am being sued by Midland Funding and dont know what my options are. Frankly, I dont want to pay another penny and can't pay this outrageous balance of $3900. I am open to any suggestions.
