Payless Car Rental, Aceleron undisclosed fees failure to provide properly maintained vehicle

We reserved car on the internet and were given total fees expected. When arrived, they picked us up at the airport and then offered to upgrade to a brand new vehicle of the same model for a fee. When they brought out the vehicle, it had a broken tail light lens. This turned out to be the only vehicle they had without charging even more. We took the vehicle as it was getting late and decided to discuss this with the manager when returning the vehicle. They also charged us $17.00 to pick us up

As our vacation progressed, when saw that the vehicle had something on the windshield that showed up when the sun hit it at a low angle, we spent a hour and more later buying cleaner and trying to clean the window to no avail. We trie contacting the company with no response.

On the third day we got pulled over by the state patrol for the broken tail light lens. The officer issued a ticket stateing that it was the owers responsibility to make the repairs and respond to the ticket.

When we returned the vehicle we we explained all the problems and we were offered a refund on the upgrade fees and they said they would take care of the ticket. Two months later We got a notice in the mail from the court that there was a $197.00 fee due for the violation. We have contacted the rental office with no response We will persue with an atty.
