International Academy Of Design And Career Education Corporatiion
EX Employee agrees with comments on this site as cec only cares about how any enrollments they can get and what bonuses they can receive

As a former employee of Career Education Corporation, I can tell you that what employees and students have said about the International Academy of Design and Career Education Corporation is accurate. I worked as an admission representative many years ago and did an excellent job for the Academy. I was offered and took a big promotiion but had to move to Illinios although I personally knew of other staff members who were not required to move to Illnois and could remain where they resided. Their are no admission requirements like other truly accrediated schools require. At the time when I took the job as an admission representative I did not know that. As long as you have a high school diploma or ged and can pay the 50 to 100 admission fee you can get into any school that is a career education school. Yes it is all about numbers and if you dont get the numbers as an admission representative you will be terminated so the pressure to get the numbers is the only priority this corporation cares about. I took the job after retiring from my last job and believing since my background is in human services and I possess a masters degree unlike some of the representatives but a college degree is not a requirement to be working for this organization at least in that area of the company. What is mandatory is the gift to sell, foolowup with the students and their families since the students and families come in great part at least when I was employed by cec since they like the representative. I was very dedicated to my job but after I left the company after 2 years, I was glad I had resigned. I was never told that the credits took were not transferable to other schools but I know since a family member of mine attended the IAD for about 3 quarters and none of hers credits were accepted
