We are relocating from nj to texas and our home buying experience with centex has been horrible. We have tried several times to talk to someone at centex about our complaint but no response. It;s like no one cares at centex corporation whats going on.
We signed contract with centex to buy a home on dec 23. My husband signed the papers in texas and they mailed the papers to me in nj. When i looked at the papers my name was spelt wrong. I called them but was told our sales agent was on vacation.
These are legal documents and we wanted correct name spelling on them. MY husband went to sales office and asked for name to be corrected and this other sales person Nicole told him they will mail me a new copy with correct name
By dec 30 no new copy had arrived. I left several messages and so did my husband but nicole never called us back. On dec 31 she left us a message saying that because we didnot send our documents back The whole perspective has changed. We were shocked to hear that and left several messages again to find out what has changed. No calls back from her.
On jan 2nd we got hold of our salesperson back from vacation and he told us that Nicole sold the home to someone else. We were shocked to hear that and really disappointed. He told us it was very Unfair to us and they have similar home being built in the community and they will give us a great discount on that home. I flew from nj to tx to see that home on jan 20th only to find out our sales person had left. We explained the whole situation to area manager ROSS and he told us there is nothing he can do and the price we were given on similar home with alot less upgrades was 10,000 more than the original home we signed up the contract for.
I have written emails to centes and have left multiple messages to vp of sales STEVEN HANES about this situation but no calls back. No is willing to hear our story. We were shocked and diappointed. How can a home be sold to someone else when we have signed the contract and i was told that the documents will be sent to me with my correct spelling name. I still have a copy of the contract that my husband signed.
Did nicole get little bit more money from this other buyer AND she didnot care for us or our salesperson. All she wated was the commission for herself? What is centex doing in this whole issue. How do these people sleep at night.
