Company defrauds consumers. Does not give refunds

Financial Protection Center gets consumers on the phone and talks them into their product to lower interest rates on credit cards.

They are telling you when they speak to you on the phone that there is no out of pocket expense. But in reality there is. The company charges your credit card $990 and then you get an international service fee on top of that because this company uses an overseas company to process with.

I called to cancel with them the next day and they told me that there is no cancellation on this program. You can get a refund only if they can not lower your credit card interest lower than what it is now.

This company has a no refund policy. What kind of company doesn't give you at least 3 business days to cancel if you are not satisfied with their product.

When I called to cancel the company gave me a run around and said someone would call me back in 5 minutes. No one called me in back and I called again in 30 minutes and they told me the same thing again. The company person was rude and very persistant.

I told them that I would be contacting my lawyer and I also callled the Better Business Bureau of Georgia and filed a complaint with them. This did not deter them and I called back again once no one called me back.

A customer service rep finally called me back 3 hours later and explained their policy again about not giving refunds. I again told them that I had spoken with my lawyer and the Better Business Bureau and they told me that it wasn't necessary to do that.

Finally, about 6 hours later another customer service person called me and told me that they would refund my money if I would not contact the Better Businees Bureau and my lawyer. They said that it was not necessary.

Can you believe it, I can't get my money back for 7 to 14 business days, but no longer than 30 days.

Then upon checking my credit card statement they have an international service fee for this transaction of the $990. What is that all about?

We all need to band together and really start researching companies before making any commitments. To my dismay, I found out that there were already complaints about this company on the internet and with the Better Business Bureau of Georgia.
