If you get a call from (Law Office of) LAURENCE A HECKER company ; Never ever take their calls and never ever say you are the person they are looking for. Just tell them " wrong number"... I just helped you for saving your money, a hassle free day (s)...
These people are scumbags. I am not kidding. Terriable Terriable people. I had never dealt with a "collection agency" in my life and these scumbags made my three days misreable. Never Ever give them a credit card or your bank account numbers. All their calls are recorded. If you give any information about you and your accounts; It is over! You are in their hands.
They deal with OLD collection cases where YOU DO NOT have to pay a penny to them. They get so rude, they will threaten you, they accuse you for lying, being a bad citizen, they insult you etc etc. If you are a decent person; you will be shocked what they are saying... My suggestion to you is telling them " F*ck off and never call me again". They will find you from your cell phone as well. Never answer it. Change your number. You know what? Just call the police and report them for harrasement.
Next step; get your credit report immediately to see whether or not what they are trying to collect is valid. Most or all cases - it is NOT valid-.. If it is on your credit report; call a credit advisor and go through it with them. SO much easier and most of the cases you would not pay anything to anyone.
Do never call back these people! Avoid them!
