I was contacted by "the Law Office of Laurence A Hecker" I had a car in 1997 that was totaled in accident and the insurance company pais it off. They claimed I owed them 21,099.31 to settle this debt. He threatend to garnish my wages and have me put in jail for "willing and deliberate evasion"!!! He also said "that I must be moraly corrupt to have a debt like this". He also said that if I would cooperate with his office I could settle the debt for a fraction of what I "owe". He tried to get my account numbers and social number as to "better serve" me, and "help him to help me". Yeah right is all I can say! If there were such a debt, the right to pursue it expired after 5 years. Be careful who you talk to and what you say. We all have rights use them!!! Now I have to keep track of the phone calls because he has started to harrass me, Since I got his letter 02/17/09, we had our first contact he has called my house 9x!!! I am now going to sue.
