On 1/17/09, I purchased a Money Order from Discount Drug Mart in the amount of $55.91. That money order was cut in half by the post office. The bottom half was returned to me - the other half was mailed to the intended recipient (how incompetent is that)? A few days later, I received that half back from the intended recipient.
After consulting the post office for replacement (they said they couldn't do anything), I completed the form on the back and sent the money order back to Integrated Payment Systems (IPS) following the instructions given.
Several days later, I received a money order for $40.91, which I set back to IPS with a letter explaining that I wanted the full amount of the money order. To date, I have not received a replacement money order for the full amount of $55.91. When I spoke to Millie (#2543) tonight, she was very rude and belligerent and refused to let me speak with a supervisor when I requested to do so.
I feel this is a very irresponsible and apathetic way to do business. Istrongly feel that something should be done about this company and their practices - especially with the economy being as bad as it is. Western Union has a lot more money than we as average, hardworking citizens. Please, don't let them continue to do this to people and get away with it.
