I discovered while checking my bank account on line that TWX Magazine had made four unauthorized charges to my checking account via my credit card/debit card. I had made a couple of purchases last February and as a thank you, I was offered magazine subscriptions for a year for only $2.00 a piece. Thinking that it was a good price, I paid the $2.00 per magazine. Little did I know that without any notice of expiration, the subscriptions are automatically renewed at the end of the year at more than the full price of a yearly subscription.
After googling TWX Mag., I discovered that this company is notorious for putting through these charges for their magazine renewals all the time. Mine came out to being charged over $100 and overdrew my account which I will probably be charged now a fee of $35.00 for each of the 4 transactions. When you call their phone number, there is no way that you get to talk to a human, it is all automated.
After spending 45 minutes on the phone with a non-human, some of my money will be refunded (so they said) but for me and my finances it's a little late for that now. I am filing this report because if I can do anything or be of any assistance to anyone who can put these people out of business, it will be my pleasure. What they are doing must be illegal somehow and they should be stopped.
