Dont work for Meltwater, its a scam!
The following facts should make you wonder:
- recruiting constantly... As Management Trainee
- 90% of the staff are Management Trainees
- no HR Department
- no fix salary
- seeking graduates only
- job based on cold calling and selling software under high pressure via phone
- compulsory and heavily drinking every friday
- lots of bad publicity all around the globe - first result page on google already shows anti meltwater bloggs written by other ex workers
Next to the facts, the following has been experienced by myself and other ex-workers:
- sexual harrassment by Managing Director, Tobias Harttung, Munich
- not receiving any pay
- getting lied to about job description and career opportunities
Career stages:
- Sales Consultant
consist of management trainee as every new starter
direct sales via phone all day
- Sales Manager
same role plus micro manage 2 new MT
promotion usually after 4 months as you make "too much" money and need to kept busy otherwise
- Managing Director
still doing cold calling all day
looking after a team of 10-15, doing the same
