We signed a contract with Strictly Additions in September for a 2,000 square foot addition. Today, it is 2/12 and though the work is nearly completed, finally, we still do not have our CO (Certificate of Occupancy). They took 5 years to complete a job that contracted for 20 weeks. The owner's name is Craig Morse.
They had the audacity to call the policy and tried to have my wife and I arrested and removed from our own home, as he claimed that he owned the addition (since the permits where in his name).in addition, they raised prices above and beyond what was contracted and refused to return to the job for 10 months, leaving us with temporary walls and a leaky roof which damaged our entire kitchen, forcing us to replace everything and taking no responsibility for it.
Now that the work is finally done, they have done nothing to get our CO and said they don't have to do it within any time frame. Considering we can't legally use the area until we have our CO, this is a huge issue. I have sent numerous emails and left messages for months, none of which were returned.
