I must first start off by saying the work that was completed on my home looks great. This company was hired to replace a roof and all siding on my home after suffering fire damage in September.
Owner of AJM came to home in the beginning of October and told me that the work would begin 10/14 and would be completed "by the holiday" (which I took to mean Halloween). He took until halloween to do just the roof, which now looks great. Then the siding job began.
He did not do the work himself or with his own workers, he hired several workers from a temp agency. The siding was removed from my house, which was then left exposed to the elements for 2 weeks before the new siding began to be applied. There were nails all over my property from the old siding, which stayed there for 1.5 months before the workers cleaned them up (I have a dog and was fearful she would step on one while walking her).
The workers did not come out at all for the entire week of Thanksgiving, then came out the saturday afterward in the freezing cold, then did not come the entire following week. When I called the owner, he claimed all the workers had sinus infections. They finally finished the siding in the beginning of December and I am still waiting for my shutters. Every time I call the owner, he tells me he knows what he is doing and has been in business for 28 years, etc. Etc.
The work looks nice, but do not hire this company if you want timely work. This man claims he works only on word of mouth, and I would never use him again, nor would I recommend him to anyone. It is now almost Christmas and the work is still not done. 3 months for siding and a roof? Not worth it.
