US Real Estate as been in business for more than 10 years, and up until the past year it was a great company to work for. The primary function is REO asset management. Up until about a year ago it was a smaller scale family owned and operated company. Within the past year, the company has grown 5 times over and management has changed. We can all accept that change is hard, and drastic changes should be made gradually. This is not the case within USRES. New management has come in and started changing and enforcing rules that are not USRES policy, furthermore, some are against Federal regulations and people are getting fired for it.
People are now getting fired left and right. About 30 people in the last 30 days. Some turn over is to be expected, although some of those being terminated have been with the company for several years and have done so many great things to enable the company to grow. One would hope that in an event where management is "cleaning house" there would be a layoff as opposed to terminations with little to no backing. This way these people can at least collect unemployment in this crappy economy we have today. It appears as if new management is even pushing the owner/creator/president of the company to jump ship. The other initial creator already has!
Being that this company was once small and family owned and operated, you would think they would show some respect for the PEOPLE that work there. I was feeling that we were all now robots working at whatever rate was "necessary" to get the job done. I was hoping this was not the thinking of upper management. After a discussion with the owner/president, he confirmed my feelings. "I have 350 boxes (cubicles) to fill, if you dont fit in the one you are in, we will try another, if that one doesnt work, get out of my building". We are just robots, and should be ok with be treated as one.
There is no longer anyone within upper management with a soul. They are not hear for you, you can not talk to anyone, your friends are not your friends, at least not for long. This company does bad things to people, turns them against one another.
If you are working there, or are in desperate need of a job, go for it, but keep looking. It will only take about a week to feel the hostility.
