Water and Power Credit Union located in Los Angeles, CA will hold checks up to 7-10 days before posting to your account in the hopes that the smaller check amounts and atm/debit transactionswill come in to trigger these overdraft charges. It is so blatant and flagrantly practiced because no matter what time you sent out those checks, they somehow all seem to clear on the same day.
