Received check for 1,250.00 from chase bank which is a fraud and told I won $10,000 to contact mr, scott freeman but doesn't answer. Called chase bank and told not to cash check

Received letter stating I won $10,000 on a store promotion selected randomly by computer.in the letter was a cashier's check for $1,250.00 and to call Mr.
Scott Freeman at 1 (902)-412-0286 which I have called and can't get a hold of him. Letter also states that I only have a limited time to call. I called chase bank to confirm if they had really issued this check to me, but they said not to cash it since they knew nothing about this matter nor had they issued it out to me.
