Huge waste of time for serious applicants
I am writing to confirm suspicions. I got an invitation for an initial interview at the brookfeild wi location. Being smart I looked on the net to gather information about them and I came across rip off report. I read what people have been saying and decided what the hell Im bored.
I went to my interview which I could tell the wanted to make very quick but i had other plans. From experience at the end of every interview everyone asks "do you have any questions for me", thinking they wont becuase no one generally can think of something off the top of their head, if they do they dont ask just to be polite. But i thought screw it. This is what happened after the initial shpeel. (sp?)
Me: This sounds pretty great, but I dont exactly get how your marketing strategy works.
Interviewer (forgot the name): well we use a varitey of tactics we will teach you once... I mean if youre hired.
Me: tatics euh? Thats cool i took a few marketing classes in college, what kind do you use?
Interviewer: we have a couple of our own methods of gaining clients we will show you.
Me: ok ok I understand, dont want me to know the secrets just yet, thats smart.
Interviewer: well thanks for coming in
Me: I have a few more questions if you dont mind.
I: oh a... Sure
Me: do you offer any benifits such as insurance, days off, paid vacation, etc.?
I: we do have a deal with a company to offer some benifits
Me: such as?
I: well go over all that stuff on the next interview these first interviews are to just put a name to a face and get some information.
Me: alrighty sounds fair. So I would be representing fortune 100 companys like at&t. Why not directly work for them? They contract this work out or something?
I: they do, anything their deparments dont pick up certain areas and what not
Me: so do you do commercials then too, mags, stuff like that. Im really good at writing adds.
I: not so much that as sales. We are more focused on sales and stuff.
Me: oh so ill be a salesmen.
I: sales representative yeah, thats just starting out though, wed like to get you your own crew to work under you so we really need people to get through this first step quick. We are growing pretty rapidly.
Me: wow how long does it take to move up
I: anywhere from a couple weeks to a few months depending on how much you apply yourself. You know we dont want to give it to lazy people, were looking for quality people like yourself.
Me: This sounds almost too good to pass up. So id be going to organizations promoting this product?
I: sometimes, othertimes selling
Me: where do I sell this stuff, you have another location?
I: we have a lot of locations over the US
Me: cool, so Id go to those?
I: yes well get into it later
Me: Alright sweet deal.
I: anything else?
Me: yeah when i got the interview appointment I wanted to learn about where i was going so i looked you your website and got some info, but i found another website that concerned me. Ripp-off report ever heard of it?
I: na, but its probably someone that didnt work hard enough thatgot upset because we let him go. I mean I shouldnt say this but im making over 100,000.
Me: impressive, i didnt see a sweet ride outside, but it is a wisconsin winter. Anyway this report said you guys do door to door sales, people have an extremely hard time getting their checks from you, the hours are horrible, the people you "choose" to work under us take our money, you dont pay for travel...

I basically got pushed out the door and obviously i didnt memorize it word for word but thats how i remember it. It's up to you guys if you want to waste your time but anyone with half a brain shouldnt. Unless you like no pay long hours and looking like a loser having doors slam in your face all day.
