Hello, I went to Hillside Honda and leased a 2009 Honda Civic coupe on 12/30/08. All was well until the evening on January 09,09 at about 6:35 when the front right tire of my brand new leased vehicle began to smoke heavily to where i lost control of the car and ended up on the side of the road while en route to Richmond VA, on the I-95 in Delaware. I called road-side assistance, they came and replaced the defected tire with the doughnut from my trunk, then I continued to my destination. Since notifying Hillside Honda of my terrible ordeal on Jan. 10, fast forward to date, they have made no effort in helping me get this problem resolved.in fact, all Hillside Honda have offered to me-from the sale rep. Whom sold me the car to the manager and owner - is that "they cannot do anything for me though they understand this is an unusual situation [to have that happen to a new tire on a brand new car only 10 days after purchase] and that I just have to buy a new tire". It's inconceivable to me that I will have to purchase a new tire for a brand new car that was leased after only 10 days, where I haven't even made a monthly pymnt on said car, while the car still have the smell of a new car. I'd taken the car to a tire shop recommended by the dealership where they concluded that I must have ran over a nail or bump of a sort on the road and kept driving on it to where the tire pressure deflated which in turn cause the tire to blew to shreds. I still have the doughnut on the car for I do not have the extra cash yet to purchase a new tire. At this point in time, my calls in to Hillside Honda is not being returned.
