To all who are being ripped off by this company. I too went through the same crap with my account being closed and being charged the $150 annual fee and monthly account maintenance fees until I wrote the Better Business Bureau and Consumer Affairs stating what this company was doing. I forwarded to Salute Visa all of the information and documentation that I sent to the BBB and CA. What a coincidence???
They credited my account the annual fee in addition to the maintenance fees. It is illegal for them to charge these fees when they are closed and no longer offering the consumer their services. Don't let this company get away with it. Write letters to the Better Business Bureau and Consumer Affairs and send to Salute, in addition to emailing and calling in all the complaints and documentation. If you do this Salute will credit your account for the fees.
They will make you believe that you have to pay it, but once you make notification to the BBB and CA and they know it, they will quickly credit it back to your account. Don't let them take advantage of you. We, the consumers have rights as well. We don't have to pay for a service that is no longer being provided. Let them know you mean business and will not be pushed around. I was credited $230 for all the fees they tried to charge me.
