I'm a student of Kaplan akas oip&t, i have been there for a year, i have only received two cost of living expense checks. I had recieved a statement from my lender saying when the disbursement dates. One date was Jan. 12 they put a hold on my check @ the bank. Iam a single mother of three i live on child and spousel support and can barely make ends meet. I was told that we would recieved the checks every three months.
I have yet received them in that timly manner, it has been like every four months. They are putting the checks in the bank and drawing interrest on them. That is against the law. My lender told that once the school has recieved the checks that they have 3 business days to give the check.
I was suppose to recieve 3 checks for 1190.00 a piece and i never did, when i asked about the other 2 checks that is when they decided to give me a check for 3000.00, but that is not the full amount. Then i was told that i would recieve 3 more checks 2545.00 but im only getting 3 checks of 2207.00. I want to know where is the rest of my money...
