Fraud, deception then harrassing calls

I got a call from from a guy wanting me to take out subscriptions on magazines at 14.40 a month. When i tired to cancel i got a lady on the phone telling me i cant because they are already paid for, the telemarketer did not mention anything about not being able to cancel. I cancelled my debit card and almost immediatly i have been getting harassing phone calls from a debt collections company, they arent asking for any individual when they call they just tell me when i answer the phone i have to call a 1-800 # to get in contact. Then they hang up. I have tried to contact family readers several times but they just keep giving me the run around with attitude. What should i do now
