Web Club International - WCI
Take Notice! I was scammed!

In November, I was contacted by Web Club International after responding to a Work at Home email. WBI wanted $298.00 to set up a web page for me, which would then earn me monthly income by pop-up advertising. This advertising then cost me $400.00.

I tried to contact WCI using the internet address they supplied of [email protected], getting a screen message of "Windows cannot find" {the email address}. I, then, called them two times getting, of course, the recorded message to leave them my name and number and they would return my call... They did not.

On December 01, I got an email from WCI stating I had not sent in the advertising invoice (which I had because they had already charged the $400.00 on November 25). I reponded that I had returned the invoice and what were my pass codes. WCI emailed me on the 6th of December that they had attached the user names and passwords but still needed the signed advertising invoice to create my codes for the advertising campaign. This was the last I heard from them.

Finally, I called my credit card company to dispute the two charges totalling $698.00. After enough time had passed for WCI to receive notification of the dispute, I received a call from a WCI representative on January 08. He stated that I was the only person who had not received a check from WCI. I informed him that it was because WCI was nothing but a scam and that I had disputed the charges with my credit card company.

He, then, got a really ugly tone with me, telling me that I "had to abide by the contract because I had signed it" and the WCI would just "re-charge my credit card." I countered with I did not have to abide by a scam, which was what WCI was. He got even nastier and tried to make me feel like a louse because I wasn't being reponsible for legitimate charges on my MC.

I, again, told him WCI was a scam only in existence to make fraudulent money on unsuspecting, naive people like me, who only wanted to make a legitimate pt-time income - especially not by rooking anyone else into this exorbitant amount of start-up money. I ended this call telling him once again about WCI being nothing but a scam.

I feel this WCI rep only called to try and rook me out of more "advertising money", because the first time I okayed the $400.00 fee I was told I was not spending enough money to obtain adequate advertising ($2,000.00 was enough). At that time, I stupidly did not listen to that inner voice telling me this was a scam.

I am still disputing the $298.00 and $400.00 charges from WCI with my credit card at this time. Please do not let them rook you into losing any money!
