I am unaware of how Blue Whale Publication had obtained my telephone number. For four days in a row I have been bombarded with numerous calls at all shifts asking about subscription to magazines, customer courtesy follow through for magazines I have allegedly purchased.
Each and every customer service and telemarketing service representative I have spoke with, the first thing I say is, "Please put me on your DNC list." They become very apologetic and hang up abruptly. Then a few hours later when they recycle the numbers, I am called again.
This last time occurred earlier at 6:42pm on this day this report was posted. I asked politely to speak to a supervisor and stated the reason why, which is I am not on any DNC list.
I have attempted several times to contact them through both of their listed numbers (945)-229-1079 or (945)-229-3113. The same recorded messages responds to both and then offers if the individual is calling to be placed on their DNC list to stay on the line and leave a message with the area code and telephone number. However, both mail boxes are full.
I feel that these lines are "ghost lines, " meaning that these lines are hooked up to nothing at all and are ignored. Which is unfortunately common practice with some telemarketing companies
I am a seasoned telemarketer. I understand the laws and regulations that telemarketing companies MUST abide by. However, as a seasoned telemarketer, I am also aware of how easy it is to go around those same laws and regulations.
My next move to speak to their local law inforcement agency and ask how I can get them to remove my name and then I will further by reporting to the Better Business Bureau and if needed be, the Attorney General. Anything to be removed from their data bases.
If anyone else knows what I can do, please let me know.
