I guess I have to say that I'm not to optimistic about receiving help with my injustice of this case but when when I was searching for the Judge that handled a child support case of mine I came across this Ripp-Off site and I decided it can't hurt at all.
I was married very young at 18 in 1971 it was a very Violent marriage by that I mean horrible Domestic Violence. He was a Police Officer and I worked in an office by the time I got pregnant with our first child I went to a lawyer and gave a retainer for a divorce, he also took pictures of my bruises all over.
I was scared being pregnant and all and the lawyer said he'd serve the papers at his work this I knew would kill him so I told him I was divorcing him and that they were serving the papers at work. He went Bullistic and almost killed me and told me he'd kill me if those papers were served, that was the firrst of hundreds of times the gun went to my head. I called the lawyer told him keep the retainer and hung up but also don't serve him..
I can't get into every horrible detail of my life with this man only that I ended up with post traumatic stress disorder and brain damage and have a seizure disorder from being unconscious on different ocassions and broken bones etc.
I divorced him in 1984 it actually took 2 years to get rid of him for some reason they claimed I couldn't get the money thru the court for child support so of course he ended up oweing me thousands of dollars. I got no part of his pension for loop holes they say.
But in 1993 I went to the States Attorney in Illinois to get his child support thru court and the back support and they had figured he owed me way over 65,000 and assured me I'd get that at court. WRONG, again I got none of the money when my ex-husband and his lawyer came into the room and the judge starting talking to his lawyer about the golf they played the day befor I knew I wasn't going to get that money
My anwser that day was a loop hole and the States Attorney were in shock but never did nothing and now to this day I still can't get anything!
