I purchased an external hard drive from buy.com a little over a year and ahalf ago, along with a two year extended replacement warranty (in this case a buy.com gift card. I am having trouble with the drive and initally contacted them on 12/18 about either replacing or reimbursing me under the terms of the warranty. They indicated that they would be sending the labels to return the product within 3 buisness days. Two follow-uop phone calls and an e-mail later, I was told that the labels were processed on 1/2/09 and it would take up to 5 business days for them to reach me, and I have no doubt that it will take weeks before they send the gift card to me. They claim they have world class customer service. World class customer incompetence is more like it!
