Amanda Steele Bruce lives in the northern VA area. She is a liar, a con, and a fraud. She has been arrested multiple times for theft, but she befriends people, gives them a sob story and then RIPS THEM OFF. She does not care what she takes or how it affects her victims. She will lie the wall paper off the walls. She asked to borrow my credit card to reserve a car only, then took the car on a trip (so she said) and a week later called to tell me she had returned it and paid for it. THREE MONTHS later I was contacted by the Rental Car business telling me if I did not return the car immediately they would call the police for auto theft. I had no idea what they were talking about at first, then realized that Amanda Bruce had used that car. I called her immediately. She insisted that she had returned it, but refused or delayed trying to give me any proof. She lied lied lied. Turns out she kept the car for three whole months and allowed her 17 year old daughter to drive the car all summer, putting me at risk for liability and stuck with over $3000 in rental charges! When I confronted her she lied up a storm. I was finally given the heads up about her by a mutual coworker who spilled the beans on this Amanda Bruce. Turns out she has ripped off several people. She is listed all over the VA Court Case website for unlawful detainers, warrants in debt, and numerous other theft. She is currently under arrest for a felony - you guessed it - THEFT. I have a court case scheduled against her for February, but in the meantime, she is living for free in a woman's house, will not pay the rent and has lied to the court to keep from being evicted. She has done this multiple times. Do not have any dealings, especially financial with Amanda Bruce. She is an amazing prolific and dangerous liar, and she will steal anything she can from you all the while pretending to be a generous friend. I could go on and on, but this woman is a major lying, conning thief. We are just waiting for justice to be served this lying snake, but the wheels of justice turn slowly. If you run into Amanda Bruce DO NOT ALLOW HER ANY of your personal information, DO NOT BELIEVE ANYTHING she says (she's pathological), and whatever you do, DO NOT in any way, shape or form trust her with any of your investments. Do not loan her money, do not let her borrow your credit card or any other links to your finances, and most of all DO NOT RENT to this woman. You will be very very sorry if you do. She is a lying thief with no conscience and she absolutely WILL hurt you without thinking twice. I am speaking for the dozens of people she has ripped off. She may never see the inside of a jail cell (though it is likely she will, and she has before), but getting the word out to try and spare other victims of Amanda Bruce is my goal.
