Wife received a check in the mail for 3784.00 and instructions on how to become a mystery shopper at legitimate stores like Home Depot, Walgreens, Wal-Mart, etc.instructions also said to cash check and send $3200 to one of four persons identified in the letter, keeping rest for training pay and to use for shopping at these stores. Postmark on envelope was Canadian, and the check was drawn off a Citibank account BUT the check also had a NORTEL logo on it. When I called Nortel in Texas, they said the check was a phony. (Nortel is a large company involved in wireless multimedia, computer networking and Internet set-up). I'm holding onto all of this material to hopefully use as evidence at some point to stop scammers like this.
