I received a phone call from one of the representative of this company, they said Westwood international. I entertained the call because he is a Filipino and he sounds very courteous. He introduced his name as John/Joe Garcia and he said he is a supervisor. During the conversation he said that he is calling from the Philippines but representing their company based in Los Angeles, called Westwood internationa. He is offering a vacation package for $499.00,3 nights 4 days to Bahamas all inclusive (except airfare). Also he said this package is transferrable, no black out dates and is valid for 5 years.
During our conversation which lasted for more than an hour, I was able to agree that I will purchase because of this guy's encouraging talked and will address you as Auntie and very respectful. He asked my credit card and right at that moment they were able to credit my credit card for the total amount of US $499 (CAN $625.50). They said a certain guy from Mexico will call me to welcome and congratulate for purchasing this vacation package.
The following day I received an e-mail from one of their staff Karen "Porchia" [email protected] regarding the vacation. According to her e-mail

- 4 days/3 nights hotel accomodation (all inclusive, airfare not included)
- 2 adlts
- Certificate is fully transferrable and it includes all meals
QUALIFICATION:
-Married or singles 30 to 65 years old
-$40, ooo income combined
PLEASE TAKE NOTE THAT YOU ARE REQUIRED TO ATTEND A 90 MINUTE PRESENTATION OF THE RESORT DURING YOUR TRIP
-Please bring at least 2 major credit cards like Visa, Mastercard, Amex or etc.
After reading her e-mail, I just realized this vacation package are free stuffs normally offered by time share resort to some guests and they will sell you time sharing. (That's why you are required to attend the 90 mins. Presentation). I got this bad feelings and did some research in the web about this company Westwood International and I read a report/complaint from someone in New Jersey. Same story he was scammed with these people for the amount of US$499.00. I tried to call right away these people with all the telephone numbers that was given to me and all these telephones are not working and I could not get connected. I e-mailed this Karen alias "Porchia" Abucay and told her I would like to cancell this package and don't bother to send anything in the mail. They don't want to cancel and I am getting a lot of phone calls from different people offering different stuffs. I e-mailed so many times requesting them to refund my credit card, that is 6 days after the transaction was done. After three weeks they left a message on my phone that they sent the package already. Why would they do that??? Since, 3 days after the telephone conversation I informed them already that I am cancelling this transaction and I want a refund.
Anyways, I did not received any vacation package with them nor letter or anything until now and they are insisting they sent something in the mail. I told them I am no longer interested about this vacation certificate. I also informed them that what they are selling are free stuffs here abroad. (If they are really selling something).
Transactions was done last October and until now they don't refund my credit card for the amount of US $499.00.
I am very dissapointed because they are Filipinos and thinking that they are not capable of doing these things.
I believe this company Westwood international. Pioneer communication are SCAM. Something has to be done. We should not let these people get away with these FRAUD. I will do everything in order to get my money back from these people. I will not let them get away with this.
BEWARE!!! Especially Filipinos who are the target of these Filipinos. They pretend to be in Los Angeles, California but the truth they are in the Philippines with an office in Ortigas Avenue.
If someone have some connection in the Philippines - maybe you can help and get these people investigated. They have names aliases: John Garcia, the supervisor, Hazel, customer service, Karen Abucay alias "Porchia" Marge, Dayvid and etc. When they call people here abroad their phone numbers appears are: 1 213 3162659,1 213 313 40101,1 404 5240000,1 231 17322763. When you call all these numbers - you cannot get connected.
