It's unfortunate, but when you have been ripped off before you learn to be proactive and suspicious of everything. I hope more people will come to this web site every time they receive something that just doesn't feel right. I received a letter in the mail from Readers Digest indicating I have won a lump sum of money. A check in the amount of 970.00 was sent to me as some type of insurance from AIG to cover any charges that may be required before I receive my funds. The first red flag, was receiving a check that was sent as regular mail, the second was it mentioned to keep this award confidential. I set off to do some investigation. I sent an email to Reader's Digest, called the number provided which answered with a foreign language recording. I went with my gut and logged on to this faithful website... BINGO! A scam! Please do not be taken by these heartless animals that are trying to rip people off and using names of reputable companies to gain a dollar. These are tough times and we cannot afford to allow people any access to our identity and accounts. Please share this site with your friends and families. A little research can save a lifetime of worries. Be proactive and protect yourselves.
Thanks consumer complaints!
