Beware!!! I was lucky enough to get wise before this actually hit my credit card!
They approach you via a fax to your company or other number I imagine with an offer of affordable healthcare benefits. There is a very close "deadline" for you to enroll so not a lot of time to research them. I called and it all seemed legit so I went ahead and "enrolled". (I thought)
They told me I would be receiving an information packet, which I did, (a bit late, but Christmas is this month so mail is a little slower) my comfort level was still ok. They said it would take a month to process and begin benefits which still did not send up my "scam antenna".
I got wise when I tried to access my benefits online and the site would not let me register. I tried calling their customer service line and it said they were closed because of a holiday, (there is no holiday this week)
I tried the other website, and another two phone numbers, the one included here, and I finally got a real person that said he was only a broker... I asked for his name and he said Jacob, I asked for his last name and he hesitated and said Whitmore, (or not?) felt that he was lying, and then he abruptly hung up the phone on me.
I immediately called my credit card company to see if there was anything I cold do about it, and lucky for me it had not come through yet. Thank goodness.
As I said, BEWARE and call your bank or credit card the minute you read this and Cancel / Alert them to the situation.
