With my October Bank of America Visa statement, attached to my billing statement, was a list of "free gifts" I could order based on the number of "points" I had earned through "previous" use of my Visa card.
Each gift had a point total, which I selected on the earned points credited to my account. There was "NO" mention of a $ amount to be billed to my credit card for the gifts I selected.
However, with my November statement was a charge of $97.99 for the merchandise I ordered; under the company name of TWX, which I now find out stands for Time Warner? And all this time, I thought I was dealing on the free gifts with Bank of America.
After a 55 minute telephone call to Bank of America, and a threat of a lawsuit, the charge was credited off, per a Cindy in the Disputes Department.
Customer service at TWX refused to give me the address of their corporate headquarters, but did forward me to a supervisor, who was rude, but did give me what I want.
