Maria Galvez was my Supervisor for 3 years from August to Jan. 22.
In Dec. she lured me away from my position at a Dental Office to go and work for her business, ABC Design and Marketing, Inc. AKA Willdy Nutri Distributing, with promises to pay me the same wages and benefits I had at the Dental Office.
These benefits included: 12.00 per hour, 2 weeks paid vacation per year, 64.00 hours sick pay per year and 1 floating holiday.
As an employee of her business, I never received any break time or lunch periods for the whole 9 month period (July—Oct. 2007) I was employed.
When I enquired about my 2 weeks pay for vacation in July I was told I was never promised such vacation nor pay. I was also told I was never promised the other benefits that she promised to me.
Maria was one of my best friends until she showed me her true colors!
Because of what I thought was a strong friendship with Maria, I declined, despite my husband's demands, to go seek treatment for stress and a sore wrist due to no breaks or lunch and repetitive work on the computer because I didn't want to hurt Maria's business.
Due to her lies and luring me away from a very good job, I decided to seek treatment and found out they had no Workers Comp Insurance for their employees. Then I was fired.
I filed a case with the Labor Board in Santa Ana, California seeking compensation for their violation of the labor code concerning breaks and lunch period violations, but I lost that case based on fabricated documents that Maria submitted on her behalf.
One such document was a document Maria said she gave to me showing that I agreed to work for her with only 1 weeks vacation after one year of service.
This document had my name forged on it! It also showed that I would be paid for my lunch periods (yeh I was paid for lunch periods I never got to take)!!
As a result of all of this, I am currently in litigation with a Workers Comp Case as well as a Wrongful Termination Case. I just thought it would be interesting to let your viewers and readers know there are some ruthless people out there who would deceive you into believing they were your friend and lure you away from good jobs that will be hard to get back or find another one as good.
