After receiving calls from Tate & Kirlin, I looked them up on the internet and learned that they are a debt collections agency. I wrote them 2x via their website/e-mail (on May 9 and May 14) to request them to stop contact over a debt that had been repeatedly confirmed to be fraudulently obtained.
2 months later, I received a bill for this account, dated July 10.in reply, I wrote a certified letter to Tate & Kirlin, dated July 17. I have received no reply.
A subsequent request for my credit report showed that this company had gone ahead and placed an inquiry for the fraudulent account. I wrote a certified letter to both Tate & Kirlin and TransUnion, dated September 30, to remove the inquiry.
They have not granted me the courtesy of a reply. And they have blatantly violated all the protections I would have been granted under the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA).
