I hired Michael Skoubis after I was served with divorce papers. I paid him a HIGH retainer fee of $3500.00. He was to appear in court within 30 days or the case would go into default, guess what it did.
He knew I was moving within a few weeks from Chicago to California. I spoke to him and he said he sent his assistant to court, so he pleaded with me to let him go back to court and get this settled.
He never did, he filed 1 paper and that was the end of it. I tried to call him since May 1st and he won't respond. I lost my house, my son along with my life. I call everyday for he past 6 months and his receptionist says she don't see him too much.
I send letters and leave messages and he doesn't respond. My retainer is to be given back to me as stated in the agreement I signed. He is a theif and and a liar. I am moving back to Chicago and I will then hire a lawyer to get my money back.
Don't hire him, he is over priced and will rip you off. Bad business. I filed a complaint with the ARDC and waiting for a response.
