I had a credit on my account from a double payment back in 2/27/07 but found out that Literary Guild purges their account info. After a year and a half. However, I had the acct. Statement showing the double payment and no corresponding credit or amount refunded by mail to me. I called 10/7 to clear up the problem and found out they don't have access to info. 2/27/07 and they would have to "research" it. After no response, I called 10/24, then faxed the statement I had which was to go to supervisor April. Still no response, so I called 11/4 and was told April said 10/31 there was a credit for $36.84, but there was no such credit and she never called or emailed to talk to me. I think she was mistakingly looking at other credits for returned books, so I refaxed the statement drawing lines to the credits for returned books. Then I ended up calling 11/5 worried i'd be sent to collections and again was told April was to contact me and I still have not heard back. It's now not about the money but how this company does business. How can they purge my account info. When it is an active account that had a credit after only a year and a half? And why is it so hard to get it resolved?
