For 30 months; not a couple at time; 30 months, I paid my credit card prior to the due date. I paid what they wanted and a number of times; more than what they wanted.
What did they do... Raised my rate from 7.99 to 21.74!!!
I called them on it.
They even said that they can see that I was never late. I said then why? There answer was, "because we can"!!! And since you kept paying on it for another year (which I did) there is nothing you can do about it now but keep paying.
I am only one person paying an extra $40 or so a month. And what is the result? They make a fortune. What does the government do... Tell them in April not to that anymore. Something else one of their representatives admitted to.
How many other people out there paid their bill EVERY MONTH and had this happen to them?
Will I join a class action suit if one gets started... YOU BET YOUR A*!!!
By the way, they weren't the only one. Bank of America did it too. When I called them on it, the first representative said that there was nothing they could do. So I asked for an APR Specialist. He put it back to where it was because I never missed a payment. The only thing I had to do was agree not to use the card or it would go back up. Easy... Thank you to them.
