I was accepted into Orientation program at US Express out in Medway, OH. They paid my Greyhound bus far to get there. On the third and final day of Orientation, I was told that I would not be accepted into their employ. I was not given a reason as to why.
To add insult to injury, they DID NOT PAY MY BUS FARE BACK TO NEW JERSEY!!! I Thank God I had just enough money left on my credit card to pay my fare back, otherwise, I would have been forced to hitchhike. Not a good thing for a middle-aged lady to have to do.
Today, 11-04-08, While on the phone w / a prospective employer, we were going over my DAC report. This woman tells me that US Express put down that I "quit or was terminated" from US Express! How can that be??? They never hired me, they attempted to leave me stranded 567 miles away from home, and I never received ONE DIME for my time at their "orientation" program.
Drivers BEWARE!!! Do not go to us express!!! Even JB Hunt will pay your round trip fare if you are not accepted into their employment. Pus, JB Hunt gives you a hearty breakfast, and a kick butt lunch. AND a hotel/motel room...
Bottom line... Not hired... Spent the last few dollars left on my credit card to get back home on the most miserable bus ride of my life, and NO compensation for my time there... And a negative mark on my DAC report.
Avoid us express like the plague!!!
